As a kid I LOVED playing school. I still love everything about school. I attended Baylor University where I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education with a specialization in Early Childhood Education. While at Baylor I worked in various elementary classrooms (kindergarten- 6th grade in Waco ISD and surrounding districts.) I attended TCU for graduate school, earning my Master's of Science Degree in Elementary/Early Childhood Education with an ESL endorsement. While at TCU I worked as a graduate assistant for Dr. Cathy Collins Block. I had the opportunity to assist with publishing, presenting at national conferences, and teaching undergraduate classes. Throughout the years I have worked in Keller ISD as a kindergarten teacher, in Southlake as a Literacy and Bridge teacher, and teaching preschool & school aged classes at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History. I love sharing my excitement for learning, discovering, and exploring with my students.
I love being outdoors, 'wogging' (more walking than jogging now days!), working on DIY projects, listening to nerdy podcasts, and strolling the aisles of Target!
So who are those other people in the picture? My husband Jason and I have been married since 1999. We have identical twin sons, Sam & Will that attend Timber Creek High School and our daughter Meg attends Timberview. We have an old grumpy dachshund named Buster and a new addition, Hazel a lab mix. A few years ago my parents moved in so we could help in their care. Our family motto is very much like my classroom- we work hard but have fun!
I can't wait to meet you!
